This policy explains what personal data Memphis Industrial collects on this website, what it is used for, who it is shared with and how you can exercise your rights. It applies to this website only. Separate Memphis systems, such as the Corporate Portal and the careers page, have their own notices.
What we collect
This website only receives the data you type yourself and, on the Work with us page, the PDF resume you attach. There is no public sign-up area and no public login.
Contact form. Name, e-mail, phone, city, state, subject of interest and the message you write. We also record the date, time, IP address and the version of this text at the moment you tick the consent box — that is what evidences consent, for you and for us.
Newsletter sign-up. Name and e-mail, with the same record of date, time, IP address and consent version.
Server access logs. Like any website, our server keeps technical records of visits for a short period (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser). They are used for security and to diagnose failures.
What this website does NOT do
We do not use advertising cookies, audience measurement tools or social network trackers. We do not sell, rent or transfer your data. We do not make automated decisions about you.
What we use the data for
The message sent through the form is used to reply to you and to route the matter to the responsible area within Memphis. The newsletter sign-up is used to send news about products and brands. Server logs are used to keep the website running and protected.
Legal basis
We process contact form data in order to handle your request, and the newsletter on the basis of your consent, under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018). Resumes sent through Work with us are processed on the basis of your consent and of preliminary hiring procedures, as detailed below. Technical server records are kept under legal obligation and legitimate security interest.
Who we share it with
The data stays with Memphis Industrial and with the service providers that run the website infrastructure and e-mail delivery, who may only process it on our instructions. We may share data where there is a legal obligation or an order from a competent authority.
Resumes sent through Work with us
What we receive. The name, email and phone number you type, and the PDF resume you attach. Nothing else: we do not ask for a photo, ID document, date of birth or marital status, and we collect nothing about you outside this form.
What we use it for. Only to assess your application and talk to you about it. The resume is not used for marketing, does not feed any mailing list and is not cross-referenced with the other forms on this website.
Legal basis. Your consent, given by ticking the box before sending (art. 7, I of the LGPD), together with preliminary hiring procedures carried out at your request (art. 7, V). You may withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect what was done before the withdrawal.
Who has access. Memphis Human Resources staff and the people involved in the selection. The file is not published on the website and is not sent to third parties: we do not pass resumes on to recruiters, group companies or partners.
How long we keep it. The resume is kept for up to 12 months from the date you send it, so that you can be considered for later openings. After that, the file is deleted automatically from our server by a daily routine - it does not depend on anyone remembering.
How to ask for deletion sooner. Write to sac@memphisbr.com with the name and email used when sending. We delete the file from the server and remove your application data.
How the file is stored. The PDF sits in a private area of the server, outside the website: there is no public address that reaches it and it does not appear in search engines. Every uploaded file is checked before being accepted - we only take PDFs, and we reject files carrying executable content. Access to the panel where HR reads the resumes requires a password and second-factor authentication.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept for as long as they are needed to handle your request and to evidence what was discussed. The newsletter subscription is kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time through the link at the bottom of every message. Resumes sent through Work with us are deleted automatically after 12 months. Server access logs have a short retention.
Data from the previous website
Contacts and newsletter sign-ups made on the old Memphis website were transferred to this system. Inherited e-mail addresses are marked as unconfirmed and remain blocked from delivery until the person expressly confirms that they wish to receive our messages.
Security
The website runs entirely over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Administrative access requires second-factor authentication and is limited by role. Resumes sit in a private area of the server, with no public address reaching them, and every uploaded file is checked before being accepted. None of these measures removes all risk, but they meaningfully reduce the chance of unauthorised access.
Your rights
Brazil's LGPD grants you, among others, the right to confirm that we process your data, to access it, to correct it, to request deletion of data processed on the basis of consent, to withdraw consent, to request portability and to be told who we share it with.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our customer service at sac@memphisbr.com or on 0800 0 512282. We will reply within the period set by law.
Changes
Whenever this text changes, the new version applies from the moment it is published on this page.
